Prevention, education, and resources that help keep our community safe! Yesterday evening, UWDC participated in the Daviess County Health Fair, hosted by the Indiana Immunization Coalition, connecting with approximately 50 individuals throughout the event.
Through our Safety & Awareness Program, and with Glick funding received, we are able to provide free medication lock boxes, sharps containers, wellness resources, and prevention education to our community during health fairs and presentations.
The impact of this program extends beyond the resources we distribute at events and presentations. Through collaborative efforts, we have also helped provide two permanent medication and sharps disposal containers in Daviess County, creating safe disposal options that continue to serve our community.
