UWDC recently provided the Odon Police Department with a drug disposal container as part of our education and awareness initiative program. This will provide the Odon community with a safe place to dispose of their expired or no-longer-needed medications to reduce the risk of drug abuse. Drop-off availability: M-F, 5-8pm
Research shows the number one way that youth access opiates is within the homes of family and friends. Our educational and awareness program will provide brochures showing locations of where people can safely dispose of their medications/needles, along with additional information.
UWDC will also be providing senior citizens with sharps containers, disposal kits, and safe lock boxes for their medication to be stored securely in their homes. Details on this coming soon!
