UWDC would like to announce that we have awarded our ERI phase III recipients a total amount of $56,000!
Our awardees, their amounts, and our committee members pictured above are as follows:
Kara Schaffer, UW Board Member and ERI Committee Member; Janay Sharp, Youth First, awarded $10,000 for social workers to help combat the increase of Mental Health issues with our youth due to restrictions from COVID; Ben Miller, Camp Illiana, $10,000 for COVID testing; Zella Taylor, UWDC Executive Director; Paula Jones, Community Foundation Board Member and ERI Committee Member; James Hay & Daniel Sherar, Representatives of Recovery Central, $31,500 Substance and Mental Health Intervention; Darin Hornaday, Representative of YMCA, $2,500 for Chromebooks for children to offset loss of learning due to COVID; and Susan Graber, Odon Library, $2,000 for a picnic area to allow community members to sit and access their WIFI.
